A Latin American fish was caught by a fisherman in Sukkur,
which has alarmed WWF Pakistan experts and attracted everyone's attention.
According to WWF Pakistan, a strange fish brought to Karachi
Fish Harbor from Sukkur on January 4 has caught the attention of experts. After
research, experts have identified the fish as an Amazon sailfin catfish.
On the other hand, WWF Pakistan says that the Amazon sailfin
catfish is native to Latin America and is considered an invasive alien species.
In addition, the organization further said that the number
of alien fish is increasing rapidly in the aquatic areas of Sindh and lower
Punjab.
