Provincial government will not allow any military operation: Sohail Afridi


 

 

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi has said that the provincial government will not allow any military operation.

Addressing the provincial cabinet, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi said that a Grand Aman Jirga consisting of representatives of all political and religious parties and every school of thought was held in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.

Sohail Afridi said that a 15-point agenda was unanimously approved in the Aman Jirga. It was clarified in the 15-point agenda that military operations are not the solution to any problem.

The Chief Minister KP said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government also has the same clear stance that military operations are not the solution to problems. If decisions made in closed rooms are imposed on the province, all stakeholders will be concerned.

He said that an individual or an institution cannot forcefully impose decisions on the province, the results of forced decisions will not be what the decision-makers want. Sohail Afridi said that peace is a common need of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the whole of Pakistan. For sustainable and permanent peace, a comprehensive and all-encompassing policy is urgently needed.

The Chief Minister KP said that for sustainable peace, a comprehensive policy comprising all institutions, political and religious parties and tribal leaders is indispensable. If all parties sit together, an effective policy will be made and peace will be restored.

He said that decisions taken in closed rooms will neither restore peace nor establish the trust of the people, the provincial government will not allow any military operation.
