Washington: Artificial intelligence played a key role in the
US and Israel's military campaign in Iran.
According to a report by an American newspaper, the AI
system was used to attack 1,000 targets in the first 24 hours, and the US
military used the latest AI technology in the war.
The report said that there have been tough negotiations
between the company and the US government on the terms of war use, AI
technology has become central to military decisions, and AI suggested hundreds
of targets before a possible attack on Iran.
The American newspaper said that artificial intelligence
turned weeks of war planning into moments and the same AI technology was also
used to thwart terrorist plans, and the operation to capture the Venezuelan
president also involved AI assistance.
The report further said that there is a dispute between the
army and the relevant company over the authority of automated weapons and
surveillance. Until an alternative system is developed, the US military will
continue to use existing AI technology. American commanders are increasingly
relying on AI in war operations.
The American newspaper says that the lives of American soldiers will not be put at risk by any company's decision. AI can identify combat targets at machine speed. Global armies, including NATO, are also adopting similar AI systems.
