Faisalabad Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) foiled a major
attempt to smuggle drugs on the motorway and recovered a huge quantity of
hashish
On a tip-off, CNF teams recovered 376 kg of hashish hidden
in 314 packets from a Fortuner vehicle.
During the operation, the smugglers also opened fire on CNF
personnel and took advantage of the darkness to flee, abandoning the vehicle.
The tire of the official vehicle burst during the firing;
however, the CNF seized the drugs and the vehicle while the search for the
absconding accused is on.
