Under the instructions of DPO Bhakkar Shahzad Rafique Awan
and under the supervision of SDPO Darya Khan Sajid Mahmood Sohal, Police Darya
Chowki Patan Kanyal took timely and effective action and foiled an attempt to
smuggle non-custom cigarettes.
Sub-Inspector Behzad Talha, in charge of the post, along
with his team, recovered 850 bundles of cigarettes worth lakhs of rupees during
the operation and handed them over to the customs authorities.
Bhakkar Police is following a zero-tolerance policy against
crimes and will continue to take action against such elements without
interruption, with the cooperation of the public. Attempt to smuggle non-custom
cigarettes foiled.
It should also be noted that such confiscated items have
already been stolen from customs warehouses or sold, so we hope that we will not
see any such action in this case.
