Rawalpindi: New revelations in Pir Wadhai police station
rape case, scope of investigation expanded
The alleged rape case in Pir Wadhai police station of
Rawalpindi has taken a new turn, where more revelations have come to light
after a case was registered by a bus hostess.
According to sources, while highlighting various aspects of
the case, has claimed that the plaintiff woman has previously registered
several cases, including cases of alleged rape.
According to reports, the said woman had also registered a
case in the same police station in the year 2025, while it has also been
revealed that about seven FIRs were registered against her or on her behalf in
the past.
On the other hand, this case has also raised questions at
the police and government levels. Recent instructions by the Punjab government
and the Chief Minister of Punjab have made biometric verification of people mandatory
to prevent false cases.
It now remains to be seen to what extent the relevant
agencies conduct a transparent investigation into this case and whether any
legal action is taken against the woman.
