The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 258.94 kilograms of
drugs in 9 operations and arrested 5 suspects.
According to the ANF spokesperson, the operations were
carried out in Multan, Lahore, Peshawar, Kohat, Islamabad and Quetta, while 198
kilograms of heroin and 15.6 kilograms of opium were recovered during the
operations. The arrested suspect has confessed to selling drugs to students of
educational institutions.
During the operation, 13 kilograms and 200 grams of hashish,
5 kilograms and 265 grams of ice were seized, while 67,200 volume pills
weighing 6.72 kilograms and another 20.16 kilograms of volume pills were also
recovered in the operation.
According to the spokesperson, cases have been registered
against the operations under the Narcotics Control Act 1997, while further
investigation is underway.
