Iran's
Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has said that US President Donald Trump
often claims to have the most powerful army in the world, but "even the
most powerful army sometimes suffers such an injury that it cannot stand up
again."
In a message
on the X account, he added that "the Americans are constantly saying that
they have sent a warship to Iran. Obviously, a warship is a dangerous military
object."
"However,
more dangerous than that is a weapon that can sink a warship to the bottom of
the sea."
Khamenei's
statement came at a time when reports are circulating that the US has sent a
naval warship named USS Gerald R. Ford to the Middle East.
