Police have arrested a suspect after a pornographic video
was shown on advertising screens in the posh Defense area of Karachi, Pakistan.
According to DIG South Asad Raza, the arrested suspect told
police that the video was accidentally played on his mobile phone.
It should be noted that two days ago, a pornographic video
suddenly started playing for a few moments on SMD advertising screens installed
on the main highway of Defense, which some citizens recorded and shared on
social media.
Asif Khan, the operations manager of a private advertising
company, told the BBC that he suspected that this action was taken to affect
the reputation of his company and he himself handed over an employee to the
police so that the facts could come out.
The police have registered a case under Section 292 of the
Pakistan Penal Code, which makes the production, distribution or public display
of obscene material a crime.
