According to the Hadith, there is a great virtue in
providing Iftar to the people as whoever provides Iftar to the people, angels themselves
will seek forgiveness for him throughout Ramadan, and Hazrat Gabriel prays for
his forgiveness on the Night of “Laylatul Qadr”.
The reward of his action is equal to that of the fasting person, while there is no reduction in the reward of the fasting person.
According to another Reference of Hadees, it is narrated that during the days of Ramadan, the angels ask for forgiveness for the one who provides Iftar. May Allah grant the righteous one the ability to serve the Muslims. These were the virtues of providing Iftar to the people. But the reward of serving the travelers and the prisoners is much greater than this.
According to the Hadith, if a person whose supplication is not accepted is given food to the prisoner, his supplication will be accepted. But if the Qadi is provided with Iftar in Ramadan, then surely this virtue increases a lot.
Today we will specifically talk about the team of The
Inquirer who were present outside Adiala Jail. What did they see that the team
of Bahira Town was preparing an Iftar dinner for prisoners after slaughtering bull
and a buffalo.
All prisoners were very happy as they would have a tasty dinner
after a long time.
Getting your favorite food in prison or jail is a great
psychological and emotional joy for prisoners. Amid the isolation and
restrictions of imprisonment, favorite food, especially if it is homemade or
specially prepared, offers a glimpse of life.
By eating their favorite food, prisoners forget their prison
environment for a few moments or take them back to their home, family, and
happy memories of the past, which reduces mental stress. When prisoners are
given their favorite food, it makes them feel that their desires are being
fulfilled. This reduces the psychological torture of being in prison. Prisoners
not only express happiness but also get rid of the usual tasteless prison food
for a while. This small act provides emotional strength to face the difficult
times of prison and becomes a source of hope.
After eating a delicious meal, all the prisoners of Adiala
Jail were praying for Bahria Town with great enthusiasm.
