Islamabad: According to the Ministry of Information and
Broadcasting, the Afghan Taliban opened unprovoked fire on the Pak-Afghan
border, and the Afghan Taliban regime responded immediately and effectively to
the unprovoked action on the Pak-Afghan border.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said on the
social networking site X that the Afghan Taliban opened unprovoked fire at
several places on the Pak-Afghan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Ministry of Information, Pakistan’s security
forces responded immediately and forcefully to the provocation, and a strong
response is being given to the forces of the Taliban regime in the sectors of
Chitral, Khyber, Mohmand, Kurram and Bajaur.
The message states that initial reports of heavy casualties
have come to light in Afghanistan, and several checkpoints and military
equipment were destroyed on the Afghan side.
According to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting,
Pakistan will take all necessary measures to protect its territorial integrity
and its citizens.
