The mystery of the presence of a statue of the devil in Karachi
has been solved. The police have identified the sculptor. A video was going
viral on social media, showing a statue of a devil named ‘Baal’ placed outside
a shop.
After the video surfaced, social media users demanded an
investigation from the police, on which the police took action and took
possession of the statue. Now after an investigation, the police have come up
with details regarding the statue.
According to police officials, the statue was made from a thermo-pole
and was made by a local sculptor. Officials say that after the videos of the
statue surfaced on social media, an investigation was launched into the matter
to find out for what purpose the statue was made and why it was placed there.
During the investigation, the police said that a sculptor named
Imran recorded an explanatory statement that he was given the task of making
this statue by a person named Allama Shabbar Zaidi. And when police interrogated
Allama Shabbar Zaidi, he revealed that the statue was prepared for a symbolic
protest on the occasion of Quds Day.
According to police officials, Allama Shabbar Zaidi said
that he planned to burn the statue during the Quds Day program on Friday so
that it could be presented as a symbolic message.
However, the video of the statue had already gone viral on social media, after which the matter became the center of public attention.
