Islamabad: FIA Anti-Corruption Circle Islamabad has arrested
28 CDA employees who got government jobs on fake degrees.
The accused were arrested after their pre-arrest bails were
rejected. The arrested employees were posted in various positions from BPS 5 to
14.
A case has been registered against the accused in the FIA
Anti-Corruption for getting government jobs by submitting fake educational
certificates. The accused have been accused of damaging the national treasury
and violating merit.
According to the FIA, investigations are also underway into
the role of the recruitment committee and verification officials.
Indiscriminate action against corruption in government institutions will
continue.
Earlier, Special Judge Central Islamabad Humayun Dilawar
heard the pre-arrest bail applications of 22 CDA employees in the case of
making bogus documents. The court rejected the pre-arrest bail applications of
19 accused.
The court has approved the bail applications of Muhammad
Aslam, Amjad Ali and Muhammad Nazir. The FIA had registered a case against
the CDA employees on the basis of bogus certification.
