Islamabad: The government of Pakistan has taken a big decision after the continuous increase in oil prices globally, following the Iran-Israel war.
The tension spreading in the Middle East after the Israeli
and American attacks on Iran has also increased oil prices globally and an
increase in crude oil prices is being recorded every few hours.
After the increasing oil prices globally, the government of
Pakistan has taken a big decision and established a special committee to monitor
petroleum products.
The government has established an 18-member high-level
committee headed by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, which will keep a
special eye on the prices of petroleum products and their stock in the country.
This special committee will also review the demand and
supply of petroleum products on a daily basis and will also prepare a report on
the stock supply of petroleum products on a daily basis. The committee will
present this report to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif after monitoring on a
daily basis.
This committee will include energy, petroleum officials,
ministers, and members of the State Bank Governor.
