Bogota: A plane has crashed in Colombia, killing one person and leaving dozens missing.
According to the news agency, 77 people survived the rescue
operation after the accident and have been transferred to the hospital, while
dozens of people are still missing. The plane crashed shortly after takeoff in
the dense area of the southern Amazon of the country and had 125 people on
board.
Colombian President Petro said in a statement on social
media that the condition of more than 40 people on board the plane is still
unclear.
According to the commander of the Colombian Air Force, there
were 114 passengers and 11 crew members on board the plane, and an
investigation is underway to determine the causes of the accident.
