Iran does not seek to acquire nuclear weapons, President Masoud Pezeshkian

Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said in Tehran that Iran does not want to acquire nuclear weapons and is ready to assure the world in this regard.

The Iranian president said in his statement that Iran’s position is clear and the country is ready to cooperate in building international confidence regarding the non-possession of nuclear weapons.

He added that Iran’s negotiating delegation will not compromise on national interests, honor and dignity and that the country’s fundamental principles will be prioritized during the negotiations.

President Pezeshkian said that Iran wants to advance the diplomatic process while protecting its sovereignty and national interests.
