Islamabad: Under the leadership of Federal Minister for
Housing and Works Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Secretary Housing and Works Captain (R)
Muhammad Mahmood and Director General Federal Government Employees Housing
Authority (FGEHA) Captain (R) Zafar Iqbal, rapid steps are being taken to
transform Sectors F-14 and F-15 of Islamabad into modern, beautiful and
eco-friendly residential areas.
According to FGEHA, continuous steps are being taken to
complete the project on time, provide basic facilities to the allottees and
expedite development works. For this purpose, regular review meetings, field
visits and administrative interventions are being held so that the project can
be completed as soon as possible.
The authority’s leadership has reiterated its commitment to
develop Sectors F-14 and F-15 as eco-friendly, climate-resilient and
sustainable residential communities in line with modern urban planning
principles. Timely completion of the project and early provision of plots to
the allottees are among the top priorities of the authority.
FGEHA has paid tribute to all the allottees who regularly
fulfilled their financial obligations and played a positive role in the
development of the project. According to the authority, their timely payments
have played a significant role in maintaining the pace of development
activities.
On the other hand, the authority has revealed that some
allottees have not deposited their dues and installments since 2016 despite
being given several opportunities. A special committee was formed on the
directions of the FGEHA Executive Board to review the matter in detail, which
recommended cancellation of allotment of six plots after reviewing all records,
rules and regulations and legal requirements.
According to the authority, this decision has been taken in
accordance with the law to remove obstacles in the completion of the project,
improve the availability of development funds and protect the interests of
allottees who are fulfilling their financial obligations on time.
The FGEHA further said that a list of allottees with dues in
Sectors F-14 and F-15 has been prepared and phased cancellation proceedings
will be initiated against the defaulters as per the law.
Reiterating its commitment to adhere to the principles of transparency, merit, rule of law and public interest, the authority has said that the early completion of Sectors F-14 and F-15 and making the dreams of the allottees a reality are among its top priorities.
