Islamabad: The Islamabad Excise and Taxation Department,
while taking action against stolen vehicles, recovered seven vehicles, which,
after forensic examination, revealed that they were stolen from different
districts of the country.
According to details, the Islamabad Excise and Taxation
Department took into its custody seven suspicious vehicles during routine road
checking. During initial examination, the chassis numbers of these vehicles
were found to be suspicious, and they were sent to the Forensic Science
Laboratory (FSL) for further investigation.
After receiving the laboratory report, it was confirmed that
all the vehicles were stolen from different areas. As per the rules and
regulations, the vehicles have been handed over to the concerned police
stations so that, after completing the legal proceedings, they can be returned
to their rightful owners.
According to the department, three of the recovered vehicles
were wanted by Sindh Police in Karachi, while one vehicle was wanted by
Sheikhupura Police, one by Sargodha Police and two by Rawalpindi Police.
The Islamabad Excise and Taxation Department says that such measures will be continued in the future to protect the lives and property of the public and prevent stolen vehicles. The department has appealed to citizens to ensure complete legal verification when buying or selling vehicles to avoid any fraud or legal complications.
