Pakistan honors the Iranian President with an honorary fellowship in heart surgery

ISLAMABAD: Iranian President Masoud Peshkeshian was awarded an honorary fellowship degree by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSC).

The CPSC awarded Masoud Peshkeshian an honorary fellowship in the Department of Cardiac Surgery in recognition of his contributions to public health, medical education, medical research and social services.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, among others, were also present at the ceremony.

The honorary fellowship aims to promote medical education, mutual relations between medical institutions, research cooperation, faculty and examiner exchanges between Pakistan and Iran, which is expected to strengthen further cooperation in the health sector between the two countries.
