Islamabad: Important consultations on government formation
in Azad Kashmir were concluded at the Prime Minister's residence, and the
appointment of Advocate Iftikhar Gilani as Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir was
confirmed. At an important meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Attendees included Senator Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Saad
Rafique, Azad Kashmir PML-N Chairman Shah Ghulam Qadir, and former Prime
Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider.
The meeting resulted in important decisions regarding the
formation of a new PML-N government in Azad Kashmir, and addressed the future
parliamentary strategy and other issues related to government formation.
The meeting also included discussions on defining the action
plan for government formation in Azad Kashmir and held consultations on the
composition of the new cabinet, government priorities, good governance, and
measures to improve public administration.
It is worth noting that the election of the Prime Minister in the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly will take place on August 28.
