Government decides to convene Senate and National Assembly sessions after Azad Kashmir elections

Islamabad: The government has decided to convene the sessions of the Senate and the National Assembly in August. According to parliamentary sources, separate sessions of both houses will be convened after the Azad Kashmir elections.

Sources said that it was earlier decided to convene the National Assembly session on August 7, however, now the sessions of both houses will be held after the elections.

Parliamentary sources further said that the current political situation of the country will be discussed in detail in the sessions, while the government will also present several important bills in the houses for legislation.
