Islamabad: Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, reacting to the court
order concerning the health and treatment of the PTI founder, stated that the
government has reviewed the court decision and will appeal to the Supreme Court
for review.
Speaking to the media, Tarar confirmed that the order
regarding the PTI founder's treatment has been reviewed and that the legal team
has also consulted on other aspects of it. He indicated that some matters are
ambiguous, which is being referred to the Supreme Court for clarification.
The Justice Minister noted that many prisoners in the
country's jails suffer from health problems, raising the question of whether
the Supreme Court order will apply to all inmates or is limited to the PTI
founder's case.
Tarar clarified that convicted prisoners receive medical
care in public hospitals and that the ambiguity in the court order will be
resolved through legal procedures.
