Three prisoners of Adiala Jail have approached the Islamabad
High Court for treatment at a private hospital and to meet their families.
The prisoners cited the Supreme Court’s decision that if a prisoner’s treatment is not possible in a government hospital, he can
be sent to a private hospital. The petitions argue that treatment for their diseases is possible only at Shifa Hospital.
The Islamabad High Court issued notices on August 27 on the
petitions of Ilyas Khan, Muhammad Ismail Khan and Owais Altaf.
