Chakwal: City Police Chakwal has registered a case against five accused, including a woman, in the honey trap case.
According to the First Information Report, the accused were
involved in circulating the video despite threatening to extort millions of
rupees. Muhammad Razaq son of Allah Dutta, resident of Padhal, took this
opportunity in a written application filed at City Police Chakwal that Abdul
Qadeer, resident of Balo Kasar, Munshi Akmal and Mismat Areeba Awan, in
collusion, honey-trapped him and brought him to Chakwal city, where an
objectionable video of him was deliberately prepared.
The victim claimed that Abdul Qadeer demanded Rs 5 million
by making the video viral, implicating him in false cases and threatening
police action. Due to severe mental fear, he paid Rs 41 lakh, but despite this,
the accused blackmailed him, and when he did not give more money, the video
went viral on social media, as a result of which a serious case was registered
against him at the City Chakwal police station, and he was arrested.
During the investigation, it has also come to light that
after the video went viral, Amjad Butt (Pakwan Center Dhadial) and Saqib, a
resident of Kot Iqbal, pretended to have influential connections in the police
and received more than Rs 4.4 million in the name of getting the case
dismissed.
According to the victim, these elements not only did not
fulfill their promise despite receiving the money, but the police also
presented him with a challan in court. The victim is now out on bail and says
that when he demanded the return of the money, the named individuals openly
threatened to kill him.
On the request of the victim, a case has been registered
against five accused, including the woman, under sections 388, 34 of the
Pakistan Penal Code and sections 21 and 22 of the PECA Act. Assistant
Sub-Inspector Adeel Shahzad of the City Police Station has registered a case on
the request of the affected citizen and started an investigation.
