Daska: The accused allegedly gang-raped a girl on the
pretext of giving her Ramadan ration.
According to police officials, the girl had come from
Daulatpur to collect Ramadan ration. The two accused allegedly gang-raped her
at gunpoint after taking her hostage in a workshop. The city police have
registered a case against the accused and formed teams to arrest them.
On February 15, Kahna police in Lahore arrested two accused
involved in the alleged gang-rape of a pregnant woman associated with a private
catering company from Johar Town.
Police officials had said that the victim worked as a waiter
in a private catering company. The accused, who is said to be the owner of the
catering company, called the woman to a house on Defense Road on the pretext of
giving her Ramadan ration.
According to SP Model Town Shahrbanu Naqvi, the police used
modern technology to trace and arrest the accused from the Johar Town area. A
case was registered against them at the Kahna police station.
Shahrbanu Naqvi had made it clear that those who exploit women
do not deserve any concession and the accused will be punished to the fullest
extent of the law.
