Islamabad: Federal Minister Amir Muqam has said that the arrival of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is delayed, but it is right, and he welcomes his arrival.
Amir Muqam said that Sohail Afridi was welcomed and thanked
for his arrival, we all have our own parties and political affiliations, but
ultimately we are all part of one Pakistan and consensus on national interests
is inevitable.
The Federal Minister said that during the meeting, a
detailed discussion was held with the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on
the issue of terrorism. Sohail Afridi himself admitted that terrorists have
occupied people's homes in some areas, which is a worrying situation.
Amir Muqam said that a National Action Plan was formed after
the APS tragedy and even in the current circumstances, we have to put aside our
own politics and prioritize national security. It is inevitable to put
political differences behind us for the sake of the country's interests.
He further said that in the meeting, Sohail Afridi also
raised the issue of the province's financial problems and liabilities to the
federation. The federal government also wants maximum resources to be provided
to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The federal minister said that the solution to the problems
is possible only through mutual consultation and sitting together to talk
because this is the only way things can move forward.
