Tehran: After US President Donald Trump gave Iran a deadline
and threatened major military strikes, a significant development has emerged.
According to the international news agency, in the latest
development, Iranian President Masoud Pazishkian has issued an order to start
negotiations with the United States for a nuclear deal. Iranian President
Pazishkian has instructed that negotiations between Iran and the United States
on the nuclear file be started.
This was stated by Iran’s official news agency Fars News in
a report that was also published by the official newspaper Iran and the
reformist daily Islah, but no details have been revealed about the date or
venue of the negotiations so far.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai
said that he is preparing a procedure and framework for the negotiations, which
will be finalized in the coming days. He added that working is underway on
several points and he hopes that the next stages of the diplomatic process will
be completed soon, but he did not give details of the content of the
negotiations.
Earlier today, a senior US official also told the
international news agency on condition of anonymity that negotiations between
Iran and the US will begin this week. He further said that Qatar, Turkey and
Egypt are finalizing arrangements for the meeting of Iranian and US
negotiators.
Which indicates that Qatar, Turkey and Egypt will play the
role of mediator in the nuclear talks between the US and Iran.
It should be noted that this development has come at a time
when US President Donald Trump has expressed hope for a possible agreement to
prevent military action in the Middle East.
