FBR Announces Major Transfers and Postings in Pakistan Customs Service


 

The Federal Board of Revenue under the Government of Pakistan’s Revenue Division issued a notification announcing a series of transfers and postings within the Pakistan Customs Service for officers in BS-19 and BS-20 grades. The changes took effect immediately and will remain in place until further orders.

Among the senior officers, Mr. Irfan Javed, previously serving as Collector of Customs (Exports) at Port Muhammad Bin Qasim in Karachi, has been posted as Chief (International Customs) at FBR Headquarters in Islamabad. Mr. Muhammad Saeed Watto, who was serving as Collector of Customs Appraisement at Port Muhammad Bin Qasim, has been assigned additional charge of Collector of Customs (Exports) at the same port alongside his existing responsibilities. Mr. Moin-ud-Din Ahmad Wani has been transferred from his position as Collector of Customs Enforcement, Karachi, to serve as Collector of Customs Appraisement (East), Karachi.



Mr. Asdaq Afzal Sensera has been moved from Collector of Customs (Appeals), Karachi, to Director of Post Clearance and Internal Audit (North) in Islamabad, and has also been given additional charge as Director General of Law and Prosecution in Islamabad. Mr. Omar Shafique, formerly Collector of Customs Appraisement (East), Lahore, has been posted as Collector of Customs Enforcement, Karachi. Mr. Muhammad Raza, who was serving as Director General of Transit Trade in Karachi, has been assigned additional charge of Collector of Customs (Appeals), Karachi, along with his existing duties.

Mr. Ahmad Affan has been transferred from Chief (OPS) (International Customs) at FBR Headquarters, Islamabad, to serve as Collector (OPS) of Customs Appraisement (East), Lahore, and has also been entrusted with additional responsibilities. Mr. Salman Afzal, previously Collector (OPS) of Customs (Exports) at Custom House Karachi, has been posted as Collector (OPS) of Customs (Exports), Karachi, and will also look after the charge of Collector (OPS) Collector HQS-Exports and IOCO, Karachi.

Further changes include the posting of Mr. Afnan Khan, formerly Secretary at FBR Headquarters Islamabad, as Collector (OPS) of Customs (Exports), Karachi. Mr. Wajid Zaman, who was serving as Additional Director in Cross Border Currency Movement under the Directorate General of Intelligence and Risk Management-Customs in Islamabad, has been assigned additional charge as Additional Director in the Directorate General of Communication and Public Relations-Customs, Islamabad, while continuing his existing duties related to Headquarters and Targeting. Mr. Amanullah, previously Additional Collector in the Office of the Chief Collector of Customs Appraisement (North) in Peshawar, has also been reassigned under the new arrangements.



The notification clarifies that officers who were drawing performance allowance prior to the issuance of these orders will continue to receive the allowance at their new places of posting. All concerned officers have been directed to promptly send their charge relinquishment and assumption reports to the FBR for record and further necessary action.
