I am not the devil, as I gave funds to fight polio in Pakistan and India: Jeffrey Epstein

Washington: Jeffrey Epstein, the notorious American financier involved in the trafficking and sex crimes of underage girls, has rejected the accusation of calling himself the devil in a video interview, saying that he was not a high-level but a low-level sex offender.

During the same conversation, Epstein claimed that he had provided financial assistance to eradicate polio in Pakistan and India. Instead of asking whether this money should have been given to children for vaccination or not, the mothers whose children received this vaccine and who will no longer suffer from polio should be asked.

This interview has been recently included in new documents and files released by US authorities. The nearly 2-hour-long interview was conducted by Steve Bannon, a former adviser to former US President Donald Trump, which was apparently recorded on an unknown date at Epstein's home in New York.

During the interview, Steve Bannon asked Epstein if he considered himself the devil. Epstein smiled and said, "No, but I definitely have a good mirror." When asked again, he said, "I don't know, why are you saying that?"

Epstein had pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor in 2008. He tried to downplay the seriousness of his crimes. When Bannon called him a Class 3 sex offender according to the US classification, which is considered a serious threat to public safety, Epstein objected and said, "No, I'm at the lowest level." However, when Bannon said, "But you're a criminal," Epstein replied, "Yes, you are a criminal."

Epstein was also asked about the sources of his wealth in the interview. Bannon said that he made money by advising the worst people in the world. Epstein insisted that his earnings were legal, but also acknowledged that ethics have always been a complex issue.

It should be noted that Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial in a case of sex trafficking of underage girls, his death was officially ruled a suicide.

In recent days, a large number of files from the government investigation into Epstein and him have been released, which have also highlighted his connections with political and business figures worldwide, including Trump, Modi and many world leaders.
