Rawalpindi: Three people, including women, were killed in a
shooting incident in the twin cities of Rawalpindi.
According to sources, the horrific incident took place near
Qasimabad Bazaar area of Naseerabad police station, where two women and a man
died on the spot due to a shooting incident during a jirga in a house.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police
also reached the spot. The police said that according to initial information,
the triple murder was a result of a domestic dispute.
On the other hand, the police shifted the bodies of the
deceased to a local hospital and started an investigation by collecting
evidence from the scene.
In addition, IG Punjab Abdul Karim took notice of the
incident and sought a report from CPO Rawalpindi Khalid Mahmood Hamdani and
ordered the immediate arrest of the accused involved in the shooting.
IG Punjab said that all resources should be used to arrest
the accused, while the CPO said that the accused would be arrested as soon as
possible and brought to justice.
