The Trump administration's decision to suspend visa processing for 75 countries, including Pakistan, is challenged

Washington: The Trump administration’s decision to suspend work on immigrant visas for 75 countries, including Pakistan, has been challenged.

Civil rights organizations have filed a lawsuit in a New York court, saying that US President Trump’s policy is damaging the foundation of immigration, and a court order has been requested to stop the visa policy.

The lawsuit argues that the decision to suspend work on immigrant visas is unconstitutional, discriminatory and contrary to human rights, which is affecting thousands of families. Civil rights organizations have requested the court to issue an immediate court order to stop the implementation of the visa policy.

The petitioners claimed that this move is not only affecting the legal immigration process but is also against America’s historical immigration policies and international obligations. The case is expected to be heard in court soon.
