Manama: Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi has strongly
criticized the United States, saying it has lost control of its foreign policy
and that the objectives of the United States and Israel will not be fulfilled.
In an interview with the British magazine, Omani Foreign
Minister Badr Al-Busaidi said that the United States needs the help of allies
to overcome the current crisis.
The Omani Foreign Minister said that the United States and
Iran had come close to an agreement twice in the past 9 months, but the attacks
by Israel and the United States on February 28 damaged potential peace.
He said that Iran’s reaction was inevitable, although it was
regrettable and unacceptable, retaliation was perhaps the only practical way
out for the Iranian leadership.
He also said that joining the war was a big mistake for the
United States, this war was not America’s, and there is no possibility of
getting what the United States and Israel wanted.
