Federal government's proposals for a two-day smart lockdown a week away


 Islamabad: The federal government has prepared proposals to implement a two-day smart lockdown a week in order to save energy and fuel in the country.

According to sources, these proposals have also been sent to the governments of the provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. According to the proposals, the lockdown will be implemented every week from 12 noon on Saturday to 12 midnight on Sunday.

During this period, it has been recommended to suspend all commercial activities, including marriages, while instructions have been included to keep business centers, offices and other non-essential activities closed.

According to sources, a formal notification will be issued after the consent of the provinces.

Initially, it has been recommended to start the implementation of the smart lockdown from April 4 so that the situation can be controlled.
