At the beginning of the day, a 31-gun salute was given in the federal capital and 21 in the provincial capitals. The air echoed with the slogan of Takbir.

In addition, after the Fajr prayers in the mosques, prayers were offered for the security and progress of the country and the nation.

This time, in view of the tense situation in the Middle East, Pakistan Day is being celebrated with simplicity as part of the ongoing austerity drive at the national level. The parade to mark the day has been canceled.

The main flag-hoisting ceremony was held in Lahore, where Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif hoisted the national flag. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar also attended the ceremony.
