PMTA increased the fares of metro buses by upto 33%

Rawalpindi: The fares of metro buses operating in various cities of Punjab have been increased by 33 percent.

According to the Punjab Mass Transit Authority, the fare increase will be effective from March 26, 2026. All BRT lines, including the Pakistan Metro Bus, have been increased by Rs 10.

On the other hand, due to the increase in fares, the fare of the Red Metro Bus in Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Multan has been increased to Rs 40. In addition, the Punjab Mass Transit Authority also clarified that Green Transport Card holders will be able to get tickets for only Rs 25 after getting a discount of Rs 15.
