Lahore: Preparations for a joint agreement between Punjab and Uzbekistan to promote trade, investment and exports have begun.A meeting of Punjab government ministers led by Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb was held with Tashkent Region Governor Zuar Tayyarovich Mirzayev.
In the meeting, it was decided to form a joint working
committee to increase cooperation between the two countries in the field of
culture and historical heritage. Punjab and Tashkent agreed to increase
cooperation in the food and agriculture, livestock, meat, audio and video and
hotel industry sectors.
The meeting of high-ranking officials for investment also
reviewed the possibilities of cooperation on culture, tourism and entertainment
projects, organizing joint cultural programs and developing fine arts, while
the launch of new investment projects in industry, trade, technology and
infrastructure in Punjab was also discussed.
The meeting also discussed the possibilities of cooperation
on energy, education and skill development projects.
