US President Donald Trump has said in his reaction to the resignation of Counterterrorism Director Joe Kent that 'I didn't know him well, but when I read his statement, I realized that he should go.

Counterterrorism Center, Joe Kent, has announced his resignation in protest of
the attack on Iran and has said that he cannot support the ongoing war in Iran
against his conscience.
In response to his accusations, Trump has said that 'I read
his statement. I always thought he was a good person but he was weak on
security, very weak.
Trump added that ‘I didn’t know him very well, but when I
read his statement, I realized that it was better for him to go, because he
said that Iran was not a threat.
Trump said in his statement that ‘Iran was a threat, ' and every
country has understood how big a threat Iran is.
