UAE ready for US-led security of Strait of Hormuz

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates is ready to secure the Strait of Hormuz under US leadership.

Special Assistant to the Emirati President Anwar QarKash said that securing global energy supplies is a shared responsibility for all.

On the other hand, Iran has asked India to send back three Iranian ships if Indian ships have to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. India had seized three ships loaded with Iranian oil before the war started. Currently, 22 Indian ships are stranded in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Iranian Consul General in Karachi says that the Strait of Hormuz is also open for Pakistani ships. Ships carrying crude oil or gas can contact the Iranian government and pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to tracking data, the first Pakistani ship to pass through the Strait of Hormuz has reached Karachi. The ship is carrying 80 million liters of crude oil.
