Uttar Pradesh: An unusual incident occurred in a village in Indian Punjab when a husband who had gone missing 25 years ago suddenly returned home. Instead of joy, his return turned into a crisis.
A man named Hansa Singh had mysteriously disappeared about
25 years ago. Despite a long search, his family considered him dead when they
could not find any trace of him.
Over time, his wife Vimala was married to Hansa Singh's
younger brother Sukh Singh with the consent of the family, who later had
children, and life went on as usual.
Recently, a mentally disturbed man was found begging in the
Northor area of Uttar Pradesh. When the police questioned him on suspicion,
he revealed his name as Hansa Singh. Later, the UP police contacted the Punjab
police, after which Hansa Singh's brother and the village headman arrived for
identification.
Due to the long time and changing appearance, even his
brother could not recognize him initially; however, during the exchange of
childhood memories and family events, Hansa Singh could not control his
emotions, and tears started flowing, which confirmed his identity.
The biggest question on returning home was Vimala's future.
On one side was her first husband who returned after 25 years, and on the other
side was Sukh Singh, who had supported her for the past 22 years. Ultimately,
Vimala refused to accept Hansa Singh, preferring her current family and
children.
