Journalist arrested for posting video of US fighter jet crash in Kuwait
According to the US broadcaster, a Kuwaiti journalist Ahmed
Shehab has been arrested for posting a video of a US fighter jet crashing in
Kuwait City six weeks ago.
Journalists' Unions said the journalist faces charges of
spreading false news and undermining national security, even over genuine reporting.
The statement of authorities said the charges were vague and
broad, used to silence journalists working independently.
