Gilgit Election: Entry of President, Prime Minister, Federal Ministers banned for election campaign

In connection with the elections in Gilgit-Baltistan, a ban has been imposed on the entry of federal ministers, chairman of the Senate, president and prime minister for election campaigning.

Chief Election Commissioner Raja Shahbaz Khan has said that the implementation of the code of conduct will be ensured in all cases in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections, if any candidate violates the code of conduct, he can be disqualified.

The Election Commission has implemented Section 234 for the elections in Gilgit-Baltistan, all political parties are of equal importance to the Election Commission; violation of the election code of conduct will not be tolerated at all.

Notices have been issued to federal ministers under Section 234, the security plan for the elections is completely ready, the security plan has been divided into three zones.

The Chief Election Commissioner clarified that the candidate or the relevant person can be expelled from Gilgit-Baltistan for violating the code of conduct.
