Robot traffic police officers deployed in China

Beijing: Robot traffic police officers using modern technology have been deployed in Hangzhou, the city of Zhejiang Province in eastern China.

According to international news agencies, smart traffic robots have been introduced in the city to cope with the increasing tourist activities and traffic pressure during the five-day May Day holiday.

According to reports, these modern robots are connected to the local traffic system and have the ability to monitor, control traffic, and identify violations of laws. The robot officers immediately identify cyclists, especially those who cross the stop line, do not use helmets and other traffic violations. These robots also continuously patrol busy highways and important places.

Officials say that this modern system will reduce the work pressure on human traffic police officers while significantly improving the efficiency of traffic management.
