According to sources, Pakistanis spent about 139 billion 16
crore rupees (139164850000) on Hajj this year under the government scheme.
The total expenditure of pilgrims under the long Hajj
program was about 89 billion 40 crore rupees (89,404,450,000), while the
expenditure of pilgrims performing the short Hajj was about 49 billion 76 crore
rupees (49,760,400,000).
One hundred and 19 thousand 210 Pakistanis performed Hajj
this year under the government Hajj scheme, 77 thousand 743 pilgrims chose the
40 to 45-day long Hajj program, 65.2 percent of pilgrims under the government
Hajj scheme performed Hajj under the long Hajj program.
According to sources, each pilgrim of the long Hajj program
paid a total of 1.15 million rupees per person. 41,467 pilgrims performed Hajj
under the 20-22-day short Hajj program; 34.8 percent of pilgrims of the
government Hajj scheme chose the short Hajj program.
The pilgrims of the short Hajj program spent 1.2 million
rupees per person, the expenses of the pilgrims performing the short Hajj were
approximately 49 billion 76 crore rupees, 50,114 women performed Hajj under the
government Hajj scheme.
According to sources, the proportion of female pilgrims in
the government Hajj quota was 43.5 percent, 65,182 men performed Hajj under the
government Hajj scheme, and the proportion of male pilgrims in the government
Hajj quota was 56.5 percent.
The pilgrims of the long Hajj program paid Rs. 500,000 in
the first installment and Rs. 650,000 in the second installment; the pilgrims
of the short Hajj program paid Rs. 550,000 in the first installment and Rs.
650,000 in the second installment.
According to sources, the pilgrims who chose a separate room
with two beds paid an additional Rs. 200,000 each, the pilgrims who chose a
separate room with three beds paid an additional Rs. 67,000 each.
The expenses of about 60,000 pilgrims of the private Hajj
scheme are in addition to this, various Hajj packages ranging from Rs. 1.2
million to Rs. 4 million were used in the private Hajj scheme.
