Islamabad: The utility allowance of Supreme Court employees
has been increased by 100 percent. The Chief Justice of Pakistan approved the
utility allowance.
According to the announcement, the increase in utility
allowance will be implemented from July 1, 2026.
The allowance for Grades 1 to 6 has been increased from Rs
6,000 to Rs 12,000, the allowance for Grades 7 to 10 has been increased from Rs
8,000 to Rs 16,000, while the allowance for Grades 11 to 15 has been increased
from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000.
The announcement said that the allowance of Grade 16
officers has been increased from Rs 12,000 to Rs 24,000, the utility allowance
of Grade 17 officers has been increased from Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000, the
allowance of Grade 18 officers has been increased from Rs 18,000 to Rs 36,000,
while the allowance of Grade 19 officers has been increased from Rs 21,000 to
Rs 42,000.
The utility allowance of Grade 20 officers has been
increased from Rs 24,000 to Rs 48,000, while the allowance of Grade 21 and
above officers has been increased from Rs 30,000 to Rs 60,000.
According to the announcement, the utility allowance
includes gas and electricity expenses, and the additional expenses will be met
from the approved budget for the financial year 2026-27.
