Islamabad: Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand will arrive
in Pakistan tomorrow for an official visit.
According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, the Canadian
Foreign Minister is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of Deputy Prime
Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
This will be Anita Anand’s first visit to Pakistan after
assuming the office of the Foreign Minister. During the visit, bilateral talks
will be held between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and
the Canadian Foreign Minister.
The talks will focus on all aspects of Pakistan-Canada
relations, including cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, education
and public relations. The two Foreign Ministers will also discuss regional and
global issues of mutual interest. The Canadian Foreign Minister will also meet
with Pakistan's top leadership during her stay.
According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan and
Canada enjoy cordial bilateral relations. This visit reflects the shared
determination of the two countries to further expand mutual cooperation.
