is that he has donated his national team earnings to charity since 2018.
Mbappe's quest for another World Cup title might have ended,

Mbappe is reportedly not taken a single penny from the
French football federation since 2018. According to the sources, Mbappe donated
all his money and bonuses from the 2018 World Cup-winning campaign to charity.
That total is almost 500k dollars.
In multiple reports, France suggests that he has continued
to donate his salary ever since, it is worth mentioning that Mbappe's earnings for
the national side are minuscule when compared with the salary from his club, Real
Madrid. His annual salary at Real Madrid is around 35 million dollars. But
Mbappe's philanthropic pursuits are still commendable.
In an interview with Times magazine regarding his 2018 World
Cup earnings, Mbappe sad, I did not need to be paid. I was there to defend the
colors of the country. I earn enough money, a lot of money, so I think it is
important to help those who are in need, and a lot of people are suffering. For
people like us, giving a helping hand to people is not a big thing. However, Mbappe’s
case is not unique in world football.
Since 2007, England players have donated their full match
fee to the England footballers' foundation, which uses the money to support a
range of charitable causes. The tradition was started by players like David Beckham,
Gary Neville, Steven Gerrard, and John Terry.
And it is estimated to have raised over 20 million dollars over
the years.
