According to the details, on July 5, 2026, under the
supervision of the Superintendent Railway Police (SRP), Sukkur, Railway Police, Railway Commercial, and Customs officials conducted a joint search of the
luggage van of Train No. 39UP Jafar Express at Rohri Railway Station. SI/SHO
DSRPA A&B Mazharuddin Soomro, Divisional Commercial Officer Railway Ibrahim
Baloch, Customs Inspector Irfan Ghani, Inspector Baqir Ali and other officials
participated in the operation.
During the search, various types of foreign and allegedly non-customs-paid goods sent by Syed Cargo, Pak Sanzar Cargo, and Railway Mail Service (RMS)
were unloaded.
A total of 35 bundles were recovered from Syed Cargo, which
included hairbrushes, Omani cloth, foreign cloth, raw almonds, Indian shaving
blades, Iranian chocolates, Chinese-made thermoses, human hair, wax (shaver
making granules), Dove soap and Chinese-made clutch wire.
A total of 41 bundles were recovered from Railway Mail
Service (RMS), which included Indian body spray, underarm liquid, Indian shaving
blades, Chinese mobile chargers, Chinese blankets and majoon (medicines).
Similarly, 384 bundles of goods were seized from Pak Sanzar
Cargo, which included human hair, Iranian shavers, glass, Chinese-made shoes
and English cloth.
A joint certificate of all the goods recovered during the
operation was also prepared. Later, the goods were shifted to Customs Warehouse
Sukkur for further legal action and detailed examination.
According to officials, a joint count and detailed
examination of each carton and bundle in the customs warehouse will be
conducted jointly by the DSP Railway Police and customs officials, after which
further action will be taken regarding the nature, quantity and legal status of
the goods.
