PTI MPA writes a letter to KP CM Sohail Afridi against his brother

Abdul Ghani Afridi, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member of the provincial assembly from Khyber district, has written a letter to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, expressing serious concerns over the alleged political and administrative interference of his brother Naveed Afridi in constituency PK-71.

Abdul Ghani Afridi also shared the letter to the Chief Minister on his social account X (formerly Twitter), in which he has taken the position that Naveed Afridi organizes and sponsors open courts in the constituency, officers of government departments are forced to participate in them, and officers who do not participate are threatened with transfers.

The letter states that this alleged interference is affecting his political reputation as an elected public representative. Abdul Ghani Afridi also claimed that he had informed the Chief Minister about this matter several times before, while a complaint was also conveyed through Provincial Minister Meena Khan Afridi, however, no effective action was taken. He also raised questions on the role of the district administration and some government officers.

The member of the Provincial Assembly has demanded that Sohail Afridi take immediate notice of the alleged political and administrative interference, conduct a transparent investigation and take action against those responsible. He warned that if the situation persists, he will consider further legal and political measures.
