ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has tightened its action against defaulting allottees to ensure the timely completion of Sectors F-14 and F-15 of Islamabad. The authority has cancelled the allotment of plots to 13 more allottees who have not paid their financial dues, while final warnings have been issued to other defaulters for immediate payment.

According to officials, development activities are being accelerated for the completion of the project on the instructions of Federal Minister for Housing and Works Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Secretary Housing and Works Captain (retd) Muhammad Mahmood and Director General FGEHA Captain (retd) Zafar Iqbal.

For this purpose, development works are being monitored through continuous meetings, field visits and administrative measures so that the problems faced by the allottees can be resolved on time and the provision of basic facilities can be ensured.

According to the authority, legal action against defaulters will continue without discrimination to remove financial obstacles in development works and protect the rights of allottees who have paid their installments regularly. Earlier, the membership and allotment of plots of 6 allottees who had not paid their dues for a long time had been cancelled, which the authority had termed as an important precedent.

According to the spokesperson, a special committee formed on the instructions of the executive board approved the cancellation of plots of 13 more allottees after a detailed review of all records and making recommendations as per the laws. The authority says that this decision was taken in complete transparency, merit and in accordance with the prevailing rules and regulations so as to remove obstacles hindering the timely completion of the project.

The authority has clarified that the process of checking the records of defaulting allottees is still ongoing. All such individuals who have not paid their outstanding installments and other dues despite being given several opportunities have been warned that if they do not make payments immediately, their allotments will also be cancelled without any further concession and action will be taken against them as per the law.

The authorities also reiterated the commitment that Sectors F-14 and F-15 will be completed as modern, eco-friendly, sustainable and climate-friendly residential projects at the earliest so that high-quality residential facilities can be provided to the allottees. They said that timely completion of the project and early handover of plots are among the top priorities of the authority.

The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority also thanked all the allottees who paid their installments and dues on time and fully supported the development of the project.

According to the authority, the cooperation of responsible allottees has significantly helped in maintaining the pace of development works, while in the future too, transparency, merit and public interest will be given top priority in all administrative and development matters.
