Islamabad: Toll tax has been increased for passengers
traveling on national highways and various motorways. The new rates will be
applicable from July 10, under which the toll fee for different types of
vehicles has been significantly increased.
According to the notification, the toll tax for cars on
national highways (highways) has been fixed at Rs 100, for wagons at Rs 200,
while for buses it has been fixed at Rs 300.
On M-3 Motorway (Lahore to Abdul Hakeem), the toll tax for
cars has been fixed at Rs 1,000, for wagons at Rs 1,500, for minibuses at Rs
2,200, while for buses it has been fixed at Rs 3,150.
Similarly, on the M-4 Motorway (Pindi Bhattian to Multan),
the toll tax has been fixed at Rs 1,350 for cars, Rs 1,950 for wagons, Rs 2,900
for minibuses and Rs 4,050 for buses.
On the M-5 Motorway (Multan to Sukkur), the toll tax for
cars has been fixed at Rs 1,500, for wagons at Rs 2,200, for minibuses at Rs
3,250, while the toll tax for buses has been fixed at Rs 4,600.
After the implementation of the new toll rates, passengers
and transporters using highways and motorways will have to bear more expenses
for their journey than before.
